Acura runs Honda’s immobilizer architecture — ID46-era transponders through current Smart Entry proximity fobs — with the same on-site programming paths.
On the ILX specifically, the immobilizer families we see are: Hitag2 ID46, Hitag3 ID47. A key that is cut correctly but not programmed to this system will turn the locks and never start the engine — programming is the half of the job that matters.
