Chrysler 300 Key Replacement
Chrysler 300s have been on Dallas–Fort Worth roads since the 1999 era, and across 4 key generations this model has used 4 different key systems — transponder (remote head / sep. fob); transponder (remote head); fobik (integrated, win module); smart proximity (push-to-start). Whichever yours is, DFW Keys 4 Cars cuts and programs it at your location, 24/7: spare keys, lost-everything replacements, fob programming, and lockouts. Call (214) 717-6398.
About 300 Keys
The table below is our verified key reference for the Chrysler 300 — model years, key types, and the transponder/immobilizer family each generation uses. Generations overlap at boundary years, and trim levels (keyed vs. push-to-start) can differ within the same year, so we always confirm the exact part by VIN before dispatching.
| Model / Generation | Years | Key Type | Transponder / Immobilizer | Blade / FCC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 300 | 1999–2004 | Transponder (remote head / sep. fob) | Texas Crypto 4D / 4D64 (also 4D60) | Y160 (CY24) |
| 300 | 2005–2007 | Transponder (remote head) | Philips Crypto 2 / Hitag-2 / ID46 / NXP PCF7941 | Y160 (CY24) |
| 300 | 2008–2010 | FOBIK (integrated, WIN module) | Philips ID46 / NXP PCF7941, PCF7341 | Y160 emerg. blade (FOBIK has no cut blade) |
| 300 | 2011–2021 | Smart proximity (push-to-start) | Hitag AES / ID 4A / NXP PCF7953M | Emergency insert blade |
Security System & Immobilizer
Chrysler’s Sentry Key immobilizer (SKIM) started with 4D64 chips, moved to Philips ID46, then to the WIN-module fobik key, and finally to Keyless Enter-N-Go proximity fobs on Hitag AES (4A) encryption.
On the 300 specifically, the immobilizer families we see are: Texas Crypto 4D / 4D64 (also 4D60), Philips Crypto 2 / Hitag-2 / ID46 / NXP PCF7941, Philips ID46 / NXP PCF7941, PCF7341, Hitag AES / ID 4A / NXP PCF7953M. A key that is cut correctly but not programmed to this system will turn the locks and never start the engine — programming is the half of the job that matters.

Chrysler 300 Key FAQ
I lost the only key to my 300. What now?
We come to the vehicle, verify ownership, cut a new key from the VIN, and program it on-site. No tow, no dealer wait — this is our most common 300 call.
My 300 is push-to-start. Can you really program that outside the dealer?
Yes. Late-model 300s (2011–2021) use a proximity smart key on the Hitag AES / ID 4A / NXP PCF7953M system — our trucks carry the fobs and the programmer. We cut the emergency blade too.
My 300 is older — do you still stock keys for it?
Yes. We carry blanks and chips going back to the 1999–2004 generation (transponder (remote head / sep. fob)), and a code-cut fresh key usually turns a worn lock better than any copy of your worn key.
How fast can you reach my 300 in DFW?
We dispatch the nearest mobile unit across the whole metroplex, 24/7. Call (214) 717-6398 with your location and we’ll give you an honest ETA.
